Welcome to Gliding Warwick

Dear club members,

we were successful with the QLD government COVID-SAFE Active Clubs Kickstart $2,000 grant application.

The application was for deployment of a weatherstation and webcams to be installed on the club buildings.

The deployment of a weatherstation that we can access online and on smartphones 24/7 will greatly enhance our ability to determine flying conditions and will enhance safer operations.

New versions of the Emergency Response and Safety Plans have been added to the Operations Manuals on the Document Library.
Please take the  time to read and understand these procedures documents.
Hard copies of these manuals are also available at the club House and Pie Cart.
The Warwick Gliding Club would like to give a friendly heads up on what has been happening at the Airfield during COVID-19 and what our plans are going forward.
Following recent loosening of lockdown restrictions, we have tentatively restarted gliding operations for club members subject to QLD government COVID-19 conditions.
Safety at the Club is always foremost in our minds, hence we have introduced a number of additional measures and policies, including limiting the numbers of Club members in attendance at any given time, closure of access to non-essential communal areas such as the clubhouse, additional cleaning / sanitising requirements.
Air experience flying for members of the public is not yet permitted and we await further guidance from the QLD Government and Gliding Federation of Australia on this matter.
We look forward to when we can welcome members of the public to the gliding club again and hope that when that time comes, many of you will come along and share in our wonderful sport.
